The Memorial: A Celebration of Steve's Life

A memorial for Steve will be held Saturday, October 9th, at 2:30 PM at All Saints Episcopal Church, 4550 N. Hermitage Ave., Chicago, IL. There will be a reception at the church following the memorial. The building is handicap accessible with a ramp on the Wilson (i.e., north) side of the building.

Antioch College Memorial Fund

As many of you know, Steve’s beloved alma mater, Antioch College, has struggled financially in recent years.  Steve cared deeply about the College’s survival, and it was a major charitable effort of his.  If you would like to make a donation in Steve’s memory, you may do so online or by check.  Contributions to Antioch College are fully tax-deductible.

Here’s how to donate:

To donate online:

·      Go to: https://donate.antiochcollege.org

·      The first thing you’ll be asked to do is identify the amount and designation for your donation:

·      Amount: Select the amount you’d like to donate – you may donate to one of the Societies or click the radio button by the blank field to enter any amount you wish.

o   Note: All of the Societies are part of the Fund for Antioch College

·      Designation: Fund for Antioch College

o   That’s the fund for keeping the college open – a major concern of Steve’s

·      Click “Add donation”

·      You will be taken to the next page of the donation form

·      Your donation information will show up at the top of the form

·      Enter “Additional Information” as needed (re: one-time or recurring gift, etc.)

·      In the “Comments” field under Additional Information: Enter “Steve Andrews Memorial Fund”

o   This is important:  Adding that comment information allows the college to track donations made in Steve’s memory – and let the family know so we can thank you!!

·      Enter your billing and credit card payment information. Fields with red asterisks are required fields.

·      Click “Donate Now” – and you’re done!

To donate by check:

·      Make checks payable to “Antioch College”

·      Write “Steve Andrews Memorial Fund” on the memo line and attach a brief note also designating the donation for that fund.  

o   Staff tell us sometimes they miss seeing things written right on the check – so add the note to the College can track donations made in Steve’s memory and let the family know so we can thank you!!
